Fire Burning In San Diego County, Near Riverside County Border
The fire was reported at 3:40 p.m.

TEMECULA, CA -- A wildland fire that erupted in San Diego County was visible Saturday in Southwest Riverside. Officials said there were initial reports of a wildland fire in Temecula, but the fire was near the Riverside County-San Diego County line.
Reports of the fire first came in about 3:10 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The fire was moving quickly as of about 4 p.m. By a half-hour later, it was estimated at 25-30 acres and spreading moderately to the northwest, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
At least two homes off of Little Rock Road were being evacuated, sheriff's officials said.

Authorities in Riverside County said they did not believe the fire had spread into their jurisdiction. However, a Drift Smoke Advisory was issued for Temecula, Murrieta, La Cresta, De Luz, French Valley, Menifee, Wildomar, Winchester and the surrounding areas.
