Seasonal employees have moved on, she said, and now the trio of managers are maintaining a 40 percent off sale on all dinnerware, glassware, and open-box items.
"The food is also 40% off now," she said. "Whatever is left after this week will be shipped to other stores." The remaining employees will be out of work when the doors are locked for the final time.
"I've worked here for eight years," Rosenberg said. "I'm really not sure what's next. Hopefully, by March, I can find something local."
At least one resident shared their haul, buying crystal glasses. "I can't believe how much I saved!"
That was Rosenberg's hope, she said. "With Temecula being wine country, I hope everyone takes advantage of the glassware and wine items we still have on the shelves."
One Facebook commenter added: "So sad!! Talking with staff who are all losing their jobs, shoplifting, and the raising of the rental space drove them out! How can the mall afford to lose any more stores?"
Patch has contacted the Promenade Temecula Mall to find out what is next in store for that space and will update the story when a comment is received.
