• Riverside County reports fewer shelter animals euthanized in 2025 (pressenterprise.com) — Thousand Palms’ county-run animal shelter is part of a major Riverside County push that has cut dog and cat euthanasia rates by more than 40% this year. With a new “no kill” policy, higher live-release rates, and expanded adoption programs, the county is investing more money and staff to ease overcrowding and get more pets into local homes.
