• Contractor hired for $13.5 million water system but East Orosi residents waiting for state to pull trigger (sjvwater.org) — Tulare County has hired a contractor for East Orosi’s long-awaited $13.5 million clean drinking water system, but residents must still wait for final state approval before construction can begin. The county, now full-scope administrator for local water and wastewater, is also moving to boost wastewater funding and start pumping septic tanks, with major work expected to stretch into 2027.
   

• BOYS SOCCER: Aztecs ready to battle in East Sequoia (thesungazette.com) — Tulare County soccer fans can look for Farmersville High’s boys team to chase a third straight East Sequoia-Redwood league title behind a mix of veterans and freshmen. Lindsay aims to defend its East Sequoia-Sequoia crown, while Woodlake, Corcoran, Granite Hills and Strathmore all hope to close the gap in league play this winter.
