Union City House Fire Doused
Twenty-one firefighters extinguished the fire within 20 minutes with no injuries reported, officials said.

UNION CITY, CA — Alameda County Fire Department firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire that ignited at a home on the 2400 block of Medallion Drive Sunday, March 5.
Firefighters responded to the blaze by 6:08 a.m., according to the department's Twitter account.
"Crews reported the fire had extended to the back of the house and exterior," the department tweeted, adding that 21 firefighters extinguished the fire within 20 minutes with no injuries.

The Red Cross was dispatched to the home and the public was asked to avoid the area while the effort was underway.
