Alameda County Firefighters Rescue Cat Stuck in Tree

A probationary firefighter used an aerial ladder to save the feline in a park.

UNION CITY, CA — A cat stranded in a Union City park was rescued by Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) probationary firefighter Vladislav Zherebnenko and the Truck 31-B shift team.

Using an aerial ladder, Zherebnenko successfully retrieved the cat, bringing an end to the classic scenario of a firefighter saving a feline from a tree.

The rescue happened last Wednesday.
