Update: BART Service Restored Between Hayward and Fremont
Regular service is returning after a BART train hit a fallen tree near the Hayward station

Bay City News Service - BART trains are slowly returning to regular service after a fallen tree caused major delays on the Fremont line this morning, BART spokeswoman Luna Salaver said.
At 10:43 a.m., a BART train struck a tree south of the Hayward station. No injuries were reported, but the train was stopped on the tracks where it hit the obstruction, disrupting service in both directions, according to BART.
Crews were still working to remove that debris when a tree branch fell on the tracks in Union City at 11:32 a.m., Salaver said.

Service was restored at 12:04 p.m. once the debris was removed from both of those locations.
"Customers should expect slight delays as we get back on
schedule," Salaver said.
