Union City Puts Out Call For Artists To Celebrate Black History Month
Submissions are open through Jan. 27 to artists of all mediums.
UNION CITY, CA — Union City Community & Recreation Services is now accepting submissions for artwork to be displayed in the month of February in celebration of Black History Month.
Submissions are open to artists of all mediums including photography, mixed media, painting, drawing, ceramics/sculpture, installation art and cultural fashion/fabrics, the city said in a news release.
According to the city, the annual show, which will open Friday, Feb. 10 from 3-9 p.m. at Studio 11, recognizes, honors and celebrates African American History, stories and artists .

The application deadline to submit an application is Jan. 27, the city said.

Show dates for the annual event are Thursday, Feb. 16 and Thursday, Feb. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Studio 11, located at 34626 11th Street in Union City, is operated by the City of Union City’s Community & Recreation Services.
