
Join Alameda County Firefighters as they team up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for a Fill-the-Boot Drive in Union City.
The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16 from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the intersection of Decoto Road and Alvarado-Niles Road.
Off-duty firefighters from the Alameda County Fire Fighters Association (ACFFA)-IAFF Local 55 and representatives from MDA will fill firefighter boots with monetary donations from local community members driving through the intersection of Decoto Road and Alvarado-Niles Road in Union City.

The MDA is a voluntary national health agency dedicated to eradicating neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans, both children and adults. The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) has been avid supporters of the MDA since 1954, and continues to be one of the largest contributors to the organization.
The proceeds raised from the Union City Fill-the-Boot event will remain in the community to provide much needed assistance to local MDA families.
