Gas Guide: Union City Gas Prices Increase 8¢
The average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Union City was $4.15 as of Thursday night.
Last week, we logged Union City's average gas price at $4.07 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
In the span of seven days, that number has jumped up 8¢ to $4.15, based on a Patch survey of 10 Union City gas stations.
The state average has also jumped up from $4.04 to $4.11, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report. Unrest in the Middle East and Northern Africa continue to drive up oil prices, according to a AAA report released earlier this week.

It's no surprise that, just like with our sales tax, Union City's gas prices are higher than our neighbors. Users of GasBuddy.com, a website that lists user-submitted prices, have reported prices as low as $3.96 and $3.99 at the Costcos in Hayward and Fremont.
Meanwhile, the "cheapest" gas station in Union City as of April 7 was the 76 at Union Landing...at $4.11 a gallon.
