Holiday Closures To Begin In Union City

UNION CITY, CA — City offices in Union City are closed in observance of the Winter Holiday Season from Friday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Jan. 1. Police and fire services will not be impacted.

The City provided the following information on the closures.

CITY HALL
City Hall will be closed on Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1, and will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

POLICE DEPARTMENT
Union City Police Records Division will be closed on the following dates:

• Monday, December 25, 2023
• Tuesday, December 26, 2023
• Monday, January 1, 2024

PUBLIC WORKS AND UNION CITY TRANSIT

• Regularly scheduled street sweeping is suspended citywide, from December 22, 2023, through January 1, 2024.
• Union City Transit, Union City Paratransit, & Union City Flea are not operating on Monday, December 25, 2023 (Christmas Day) and Monday, January 1, 2024 (New Year’s Day).

Paratransit ticket books are available at the Marketplace Safeway Customer Service counter on Decoto Road at Alvarado-Niles Road.

There will be no Clipper sales available at City Hall from Friday, December 22, 2023 through Monday, January 1, 2024; Clipper sales will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. COMMUNITY AND RECREATION SERVICES

• The Mark Green Sports Center will be operating reduced hours (7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) on December 31 (New Year’s Eve) and January 1 (New Year’s Day) and will be closed on December 24th (Christmas Eve) and December 25 (Christmas Day).
• The Ruggieri Senior Center will be closed December 23 through January 1.
• The CAREavan Safe Overnight Parking program will be operating its regular nightly schedule over the holidays.
• Unless otherwise listed above, all offices and programs at the Holly Community Center, Kennedy Youth Center, Homeless Division, and Youth & Family Services will be closed from Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1, and reopening on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
