Union City professional mixed martial arts fighter Jonathan "JonMac" Macalolooy won his fourth professional match over the weekend.
On Saturday night, Macalolooy faced Alex “The Decision” Perez in a three-round featherweight fight at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville for the West Coast Fighting Championships Bruvado Bash.
According to combat sports blog Figure 4 Fotos, Macalolooy and his opponent kept the fight mainly on the mat. After exchanging kicks and punches, Macalolooy grappled with Perez and ended the first round with Perez in a chokehold, according to the website.

The second started with Perez as the aggressor who got Macalolooy against the fence, the website said. Macalolooy eventually maneuvered out, mounted Perez and delivered a landed an elbow to his head.
Macalolooy would go on to win by unanimous decision, winning all three rounds on each of the judge’s score cards, according to his brother and trainer, Jeff.

Macalolooy now has a 3-1 professional record. He came out of recovery last year after suffering a leg injury in May 2010 and won against Sam Stevens-Milo in April, also in a unanimous decision.
