“I love this time of year because we get to give a lot of kids one of the most fun and valuable gifts they’ve ever received,” says Bobby Hernandez, Co-Owner with his father Bob Hernandez of Hernandez Martial Arts. “Parents know what their children need such as Focus and Concentration for better grades in school, Respect for teachers, parents, friends and siblings, Discipline to complete homework and chores and Confidence and Self- Esteem to handle life’s daily challenges. But, Karate Claus knows what children want such as high flying kicks, movie star moves, ninja like chops, fun, fun, fun in a safe, kid oriented environment where everyone gets to participate and this holiday season, we’re going to give a gift that includes both and that will last these kids a lifetime.”

Karate Claus at Hernandez Martial Arts had his elves assemble over $10,000 worth of Gift Wrapped Presents this holiday season for boys and girls age 6 to 11 that includes a 6 Week Introduction to the Martial Arts Course which starts in January to help celebrate National Self-Defense Month. The child will also receive their first, Official White Belt, an Instructional DVD featuring National and World Rated Champion Bobby Hernandez and a letter explaining the details of the 6 Week Course, all gift wrapped, ready to hand out and each gift is valued at almost $200!

Co-Owners Bob and Bobby Hernandez, as well as their team of Top Black Belt Instructors will work with these lucky kids, teaching them about the many exciting facets of the Martial Arts. These lucky kids will be lead through a Martial Arts Training Regimen that doesn’t support the use of punching and kicking but rather advocates the use of Common Sense Before Self-Defense.

“Our Martial Arts Program is a very special program and I’m sure we’re going to have a lot of surprised kids and parents because fighting is just one, very small aspect of the Martial Arts,” says Bobby Hernandez. “There are so many mis-conceptions as to what the Martial Arts is really about and the first thing that usually comes to mind for many people is punching, kicking and fighting. But the true Martial Arts isn’t just defending ourselves from the bad guy, it’s really about defending ourselves from all that can threaten our well being such as our bad attitudes, the food we put in our bodies, negativity from ourselves or others, the negative thoughts that roam through our heads, bad grades, sickness, disease, unhealthy friendships and injury to name a few. This is true Self-Defense, this is the Martial Arts and this is what we teach our students about because we all encounter these threats on a daily basis. And what’s even better, kids have a blast learning because our program is geared for kids!”

These new Karate Kids will attend classes 2 times a week in the late afternoon / early evenings starting the week of January 14th, 2013, all in a fun, safe, kid oriented environment. Students and parents will have the opportunity to choose days and times so classes will coincide with even the busiest of schedules. In addition, because this is a gift, there’s no money to pay.

For parents interested in giving their child this free, special gift this holiday season or to obtain additional information, please contact Hernandez Martial Arts at 510.487.3790 between Monday, December 3rd and Thursday, December 20th.
