Maneki Voted Best Sushi Restaurant in Union City

Located at 31810 Alvarado Blvd. in the Alvarado Plaza, the restaurant serves traditional Japanese cuisine, with everything from salmon teriyaki to donburi.

But of course, the main attraction is the sushi, which include unique specialties such as the Maneki Roll stuffed with spicy tuna, cucumber and roasted almonds topped with tuna, mango slices and something called "OMG sauce." (See their full menu here.)

However, it wasn't an easy win for Maneki. and brought stiff competition with 30 and 27 percent of the total votes, respectively. Neither business received reviews or star ratings from users.
