Meet Union City's Newest Police Officer

UNION CITY, CA — The Union City Police Department has a new sworn member.

Officer Victoria Estrada has successfully completing the Field Training Program, making her a solo officer who is ready to serve the community.

Residents and former police officers took the time to comment on a Facebook post welcoming her. Ben Horner wrote, "Congratulations Ms. Estrada. Many of the commenters on this post are former UCPD wishing you well. Because we are, and will always, remain a family. Stay safe, vigilant, compassionate, just, and courageous."

Linda K. Lyon and Pat Fuentez thanked Estrada for her service.

Dennis Benitez wished her safety throughout her career.

Congratulations, Officer Estrada.
