Mexico Tipico Gets Highest Marks For Burritos

The battle of the burritos has ended and coming up on top is .

Located at 3980 Horner St. in Old Alvarado, Mexico Tipico has long been a local favorite and received the most votes and a high rating from Union City Patch readers.

The restaurant is not known just for their gigantic burritos. Mexico Tipico also features a variety of traditional dishes and seafood specialties, along with a full bar.

"Not only is this the best restaurant for burritos, it is the best Mexican restaurant in town. Great food and great service. Family owned, not a chain," wrote Union City Patch reader Patti.

Mexico Tipico received the most votes in , along with a number of comments and a positive rating on its Patch Places listing, giving it a total of 18 points in our weekly contest.

El Burrito Supremo received the most positive reviews and ratings but placed third in the poll (readers recommend the chile verde burrito). Los Dos Gallos was second in both the poll and Patch Places ratings.
