Planning Commish to Weigh Housing Proposal for Union City Boulevard

City Hall officials are recommending that Union City's Planning Commission reject a request to amend the city plan to allow for residential development in a part of town currently zoned for industrial uses.

On Thursday, the Planning Commission is scheduled to review an application by Trumark Homes to build a 135-unit residential development at 30315 Union City Boulevard. The project calls for a density of 11.6 units per acre in an area now chiefly used for warehousing and light manufacturing.
