Police Arrest Pair Suspected of Burglarizing Union City Business
The suspects allegedly fled when officers arrived.

UNION CITY, CA — Two men were arrested in Union City last weekend on suspicion of committing two commercial burglaries and one attempted burglary, as well as resisting arrest, police said Monday. On the early morning of Dec. 18, a witness reported seeing two men trying to pry open the rear door of a business on Western Avenue, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers encountered the suspects and began chasing them. The pair then jumped a fence leading into a storage yard, police said.
One of the men ran "into the waiting arms" of an officer who was anticipating the suspects in the storage yard, according to police. That suspect tried to flee, however he was taken into custody.
