The following is a summary of significant crime and incidents reported in Union City between March 15 and March 19 as released by the Union City Police Department. Reports have been edited for Patch style.
FRIDAY, MARCH 15
Elderly man pushed in home burglary

An 88-year-old man was in his backyard at around 2:20 p.m. when he heard his dogs barking. He went inside to find a suspect running down the stairs with a suitcase and a crowbar. The suspect pushed the suspect to the ground and fled the residence. He ran into an awaiting black two-door car with a sunroof.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male about 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-8, with short black hair and a muscular build. He was wearing a San Francisco Giants t-shirt.

SATURDAY, MARCH 16
Unregistered gun, marijuana found after traffic stop
An officer conducted a traffic stop at around 2:57 a.m. in the area of Kitayama Drive and Winchester Drive. The officer found the passenger in possession of marijuana for sale. Officers conducted a follow-up search at the suspect’s home where they recovered an unregistered .357 revolver.
SUNDAY, MARCH 17
Home burglary on 8th Street
An 8th Street home was burglarized around midnight. The 95-year-old resident said she went to bed around 6 p.m. and was awoken by her dog barking at midnight. She found damage to a door but did not see or hear anyone inside her home.
MONDAY, MARCH 18
Man exposes himself to 14-year-old girl
A man exposed his penis to a 14-year-old girl as she was walking home from Logan on G Street at around 3:30 p.m. The suspect asked the girl if she liked what she saw and flashes his genitalia. The victim ran home and reported the incident.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 30 years old, 5-foot-7 and 190 pounds with black spiky hair, light brown eyes and a goatee. He was driving a white Lexus SUV with tinted windows and custom rims.
TUESDAY, MARCH 19
Women fight over boyfriend inside Jamba Juice
Officers were sent to Jamba Juice in Union Landing at about 4 p.m. on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The incident involved a suspect entering the juice bar, throwing bottles — and juice — at the victim. An innocent bystander received a laceration on her head as a result of the incident. The suspect was eventually arrested.
