Police Searching for Suspects in Stabbing, Attempted Home Burglary

Union City police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three male suspects who injured a resident during a botched home burglary last month.

The incident occurred Nov. 21 on the 300 block of Whipple Road when the resident returned home and interrupted the burglary attempt, according to a press release.

Two of the suspects fled the home but the third confronted the victim and a struggle ensued.

The suspect pulled out a sharp-edged object and slashed the victim, police said.

The injuries were not life-threatening, police said. 

The three suspects fled the area in a light-colored four-door mid-90s Nissan and were last seen traveling south on C Street.

The suspect who stabbed the resident — whose sketch is included above — is described as a Hispanic male adult between 21 and 25 years old, standing at 5-feet-10 and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He had light brown spikey hair, a light complexion, and was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult between 10 and 25 years old, 5-foot-10 and 180 to 190 pounds with shoulder lengthy wavy hair, a dark complexion and pock-marked face with thin mustache.

The last suspect was only described as a Hispanic male adult standing at about 5-foot 10.
