Submit Your Entries for the Union City Photo Contest
The deadline for submissions is Jan. 6.
I see you posting photos of everything you do, see or eat on Instagram and Tumblr. Why not put those photography skills to use for more than just your online friends to see?
is now accepting submissions for its seventh annual photo contest, held in partnership with .
Open to all Bay Area residents ages 10 and older, entries for the contest may be submitted in six different categories: people, environment, altered images, animals, candid family and black-and-white.

Only one photo in each category may be submitted. The fee to enter the contest is $5 per photo or $25 for those entering all six categories.
The photos will be judged for creativity, quality and how the image represents the selected category.

The deadline to submit photos is Jan. 6. Winners will be notified by Jan. 13 with a special reception at Paddy's Coffee House on Feb. 3.
Winning photos will be displayed at Paddy's for a month before making their way to City Hall and the Union City Sports Center later in the year.
