This Week: Conley Graduation, Relay for Life Committe Meeting, Free Baseball Camp

• While most of New Haven's high school seniors celebrated their graduation on Saturday, dozens will also celebrate the accomplish Monday night. , the district's continuation school which gives struggling students a chance to catch up and complete their studies, will celebrate its graduates Monday at 6 p.m. on its Hayward campus, located at 541 Blanche St.

• Join participants of the upcoming Relay for Life 2012, a 24-hour run/walk for cancer awareness, during , located at 32980 Alvarado Niles Rd., Ste 812. Relay for Life, a national fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will take place in on Aug. 25 and 26 at . Though the actual event may be held in August, participating teams begin fundraising and hosting community events months in advance. Those who'd like to learn more about Relay for Life or register for the event should attend this meeting.

• Students from James Logan High School will prepare ground Tuesday morning for their first Bay Friendly certified area by implementing StopWaste.org's Lose Your Lawn Program, reports Logan biology and ecology teacher Michelle Galaria. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., students will sheet mulch a 20-foot by 20-foot plot of land and prepare the site for the summer and fall for planting.

• Your little slugger can receive free professional sports training during the 's . Originally scheduled for June 9, the event was pushed back a week, according to the Academy's Facebook page. The focus of the camp will be on accuracy throwing. Participants can sign up for 45-minute slots beginning every hour from 8 to 3 p.m. The day will also include a free bbq and prizes for participants. • Register today for next month. Held from July 16-20, the camp will be led by former professional soccer player Kevin Broomfield and not only build technical skills but also promote a healthy lifestyle. UC Premier Soccer is offering half day ($95 for the week) for children 5-13 and full day camps ($150 for the week) for children ages 7-13. Children must register by July 9 for the camp.
