Tuesday, August 6

Kaiser Union City Farmers’ Market 

The Kaiser Permanente Farmers' Market brings you a variety of farm-fresh fruits, nuts, greens and vegetables — as well as fresh-cut flowers. The Kaiser Permanente Union City Farmers' Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Offices, 3553 Whipple Road.

“National Night Out”

Neighborhoods throughout Union City are joining other communities nationwide for "National Night Out". Join your neighbors, family and friends in various activities in an effort to heighten awareness about drug and crime prevention, strengthen police-community partnerships and let criminals know that your neighborhood is fighting back. Thursday, August 8

Itliong-Vera Cruz Coalition Foundation

Enjoy wine, tapas, music, and great company while supporting the IVC Coalition! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Itliong-Veracruz Middle School renaming fund. Spread the word and invite your friends. It took a collaboration of many organizations to get this historic event passed by our New Haven Board of Trustees, it will take a community to raise the funds needed. This fundraiser will be held at Federicos Tapas & Wine Bar, 30971 Courthouse Dr., Union City, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Friday, August 9

Summer Park & Playground Carnival

Enjoy game and snack booths hosted by the participants and leaders of the summer teen and youth programs. The carnival theme is "Happily Ever After". All booths cost 25 cents, so start saving your change! Join in on the fun at Old Alvarado/Cesar Chavez Park from 12 to 3 p.m. 

Saturday, August 10

Union City Farmers’ Market

Your best source for fresh and delicious food for the whole family. Bring the kids to play at the playground while you shop for fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood! The Union City Farmers' Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Alvarado Park.

Annual OBON Festival

Join the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church in their annual OBON Festival. There will be Buddhist dancing, Japanese music, Japanese food and more! Admission is free and EVERYONE is invited! The OBON Festival will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church, 32975 Alvarado Niles Rd.
