Here's what's going down in and around Union City this week
Here are five events coming up this week that you should know about:
- Just because you exchange gifts with other humans, it doesn't mean dogs can't get in on the Christmas action. . Prices vary for different photo packages.
- A visitation for train accident victim will be held Tuesday night, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Holy Angels Funeral Center (1051 Harder Rd. in Hayward). A mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (41933 Blacow Rd. in Fremont), followed by a burial, also at Holy Angels Funeral Center in Hayward.
- The Christmas season officially kicks off in Union City with the . Starting at 5:30 p.m., the free event will feature a Chamber of Commerce mixer, holiday music, entertainment and a raffle. All proceeds benefit hospice care.
- Learn more about the city's Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention Program during a at the Sports Center. From 7 to 8:30 p.m., community members will find what services and programs are being offered to local at-risk youth, meet the staff and learn how they can be involved. - Having trouble landing a job? The Tri-Cities One-Stop Career Center is offering a . To be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Union City Library and led by a professional job coach, the workshop will provide tips for successful approaches to help you get ahead in your job search.
