Union City Council Members Take Oath Of Office
District 1 Council Member Gary Singh named Union City's vice mayor.

UNION CITY, CA — Members of Union City's City Council voted to adopt a resolution accepting the results of the November 2022 general election, swore in one reelected and two new council members and set its 2023 meeting schedule during the Dec. 13 meeting.
As part of the unanimous approval of the resolution accepting the election results, reelected council member Jaime Patino, Jeff Wang and Scott Sakakihara were officially named as winners of their bids to secure seats representing Union City's District 2, District 3 and District 4, respectively.
Following proclamations honoring outgoing councilmembers Emily Duncan and Pat Gacoscos, Patino, Wang and Sakakihara took their oaths of office and made their way to their seats on the Union City Council dais.

Duncan and Gascoscos also gave farewell speeches to those gathered for the meeting.
With the approval of a resolution setting the city council meeting schedule for 2023, council locked in meeting dates of Jan. 10 and 24, Feb. 14 and 28, March 14 and 28, April 11 and 25, May 9 and 23, June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and 26, Oct. 10 and 24, Nov. 14 and 28 and Dec. 12.

In other news, council also appointed District 1 Council Member Gary Singh to the role of vice mayor and handed out council member assignments to various boards and commissions.
