Union City To Host Asian American And Pacific Islander Art Showcase

Featured artwork will include photography, mixed media, paintings and much more, organizers said.

UNION CITY, CA — Union City Community & Recreation Services, in conjunction with Studio11, is celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Month by showcasing artwork of local artists and community members of all ages.

Opening night for the show, which runs at Studio 11, at 34626 11th Street, through June 2, will be held Friday, May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Featured artwork will include photography, mixed media, paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculpture, installation art and cultural fashion and fabrics, Union City said in a news release announcing the event.

In addition to the local artworks, the event will also feature music, food and activities for the kids, Union City said.

After the show finishes its run at Studio 11, it will move to Mark Green Sports Center, , where it will be on display from June 6 through June 25.
