Union City MMA Fighter Wins Comeback Match
After sustaining a leg injury in a fight last May, Jonathan Macalolooy won his third professional MMA match in a unanimous decision last night.
A Union City professional mixed martial arts fighter won his third professional match Saturday night.
Union City native Jonathan "JonMac" Macalolooy returned to the cage for Rebel Fighter Explosive in Plymouth, Calif. after sustaining a leg injury in a fight last May.
Macalolooy won the match against his opponent, Sam Stevens-Milo, in a unanimous decision scored by judges 30-27. Macalolooy dominated the stand-up fight and took down Stevens-Milo in each round of the match, according to a press release.

More than 100 fans of Macalolooy made the two-hour drive to support him in his comeback fight.
According to the press release from , where Macalolooy trains, Macalolooy is the only professional MMA fighter in Union City.

This was his first professional fight since breaking both his tibia and fibula while throwing a leg kick in a match last May.
In Saturday's match, Macalolooy proved that his leg has healed and that he's back in action, his brother, Jeff, said.
To help prepare for the fight, Macalolooy also trained with Dominick Cruz, the first and current bantamweight (135-pound weight class) UFC champion.
