Union City Tackles Future Housing Needs

The City is updating its housing plan through 2031.

UNION CITY, CA — How many new homes and apartments will Union City need in the coming years and where should they be built?

Union City plans to hold a virtual workshop later this month to update the Housing Element for the 2023-2031 planning period.

According to the City, the Housing Element is the City’s 8-year housing strategy and commitment for how it will meet the housing needs of everyone in the community.
