Whooo Needs Help? Great Horned Owl Rescued From Barbed Wire
Members of the police department came to the owl's rescue.

UNION CITY, CA — Members of the Union City Police Department not only protect and serve the people of the community but, when possible, the wildlife.
A Great Horned Owl was stuck in a barbed wire fence around the Masonic Home on August 12. Two members of the police department assisted in the owl's rescue.
It was taken to the Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital in Walnut Creek for treatment.

Lindsay provides free veterinary care to native California wildlife. When it was founded in 1970, it was the first of its kind in the country and is still among the largest. Lindsay now works with a network of conservation organizations to treat wildlife.
