35-Year-Old Man Injured In Venice Shooting
One man was hospitalized following a shooting early Wednesday in Venice.
VENICE, CA — A man shot and injured a 35-year-old man during an altercation in Venice early Wednesday that appears to be gang-related, police told Patch.
The shooting happened in the 11300 block of Venice Boulevard, near Sawtelle Boulevard just west of Culver City, at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The victim was expected to survive.
"Upon the officer’s arrival, a victim suffering from several gunshot wounds was located," authorities said. "During the investigation, it was determined the shooting occurred on the north side of Venice Blvd, in the city of Los Angeles."

it appears the shooting was gang-related and both the suspect and victim were homeless, a Los Angeles police dispatcher told Patch.
"The Culver City Police Department has received numerous inquiries about the incident," officials said.
