Artists, Homeless Youths Hold Face-to-Face Portrait Sessions

The six-week program offers sessions every Tuesday and Thursday in Venice as part of the "Mirror, Mirror" project.

Local artists and homeless youths can come together Wednesday to collaborate on the "Mirror, Mirror" project, which pairs one artist with one kid, allowing them to engage in conversations about local issues while creating portraits of each other, according to City News Service.

The project will culminate at the end of the six-week "face-to-face'' portrait sessions with a grand display at the Venice Art Crawl on Sept. 19.

The artist/youth sessions will continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 6:30 p.m., at Venice's First Baptist Church, 685 Westminster Avenue, in collaboration with Safe Place for Youth.
