Body Of 60-Year-Old Found At Venice Beach
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the man's identity and specific cause of death were unknown.
VENICE, CA — A dead body was found on Ocean Front Walk at Venice Beach Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
LAFD spokesperson Nicholas Prange said dispatchers received a 911 call at about 8:08 a.m. from a person who said they discovered a dead man near East Rose Avenue. When authorities arrived, they located an approximately 60-year-old man who appeared to be "obviously dead."
"Paramedics arrived and determined the person was beyond our care," Prange said.

According to Los Angeles County Department of Health procedures, an obvious death includes people who appear to exhibit one or more of the following criteria:
- Incineration
- Decapitation
- Obvious fatal blood loss
- Rigor Mortis
- Massive crush injury and/or evisceration of the heart or brain
- Post-mortem lividity
- Traumatic cardiopulmonary arrest
No information about the victim's identity or the specific cause of death was available, Pragne said.
