Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: There are two main factors that contribute to us being a premier real-estate brokerage in Los Angeles: Provide the highest level "client experience" for each transaction and work with great people on your team. These two components are the foundation to how we do what we do and then, on top of that, add great marketing, vast knowledge of the area, know your craft and contractual strategy and never stop learning and evolving.

Patch: What is the culture of Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: You’ve probably heard this before, but we are one of those “work hard, play hard” families. Our offices are designed in an open-concept layout, so we are each ultimately in the mix with the entire team. This allows each of us in various departments to hear things that we might not necessarily get over email, and we can chime in or proactively prepare and assist our teammates. Seventy brains are better than one. The open concept also lets us get to know each other. We celebrate birthdays together, accomplishments, ski trips, surf outings and even walk each other's pets!

Patch: Tell us about the Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc. beginnings. How has the brokerage transformed since its inception?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: The early years started our with just two of us, but the process, work ethic and end result for the clients has remained the same. We apply our expertise and exceptional service with each transaction and assist each client with their specific needs one at a time, since each of our clients situations are so very different. I guess you could view us as a cross between a financial planner you might work at a top firm and a concierge from the Four Seasons. We only want the very best for our clients.

Patch: What is the Life-Changer Program? Tell us about the firm's involvement in the community.

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: The program began in mid-2009 when our founder, Tami, thought that, as a company, we should help give back the community that provides us a livelihood. The program designates four local charities each year and donates to one each quarter throughout the year. The funds help get transitional housing for some of the homeless in the area through one organization; the beaches get cleaned up trough other programs, and pregnant teens get assistance through yet another program. It's a great feeling to be able to assist in this way and help strengthen our community. We also get involved with local schools, farmer’s markets and dog adoption with some of our programs funds. We do what we can.

Patch: How does Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc. measure its success?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: We measure our success when our clients, employees and independent contractors are happy. In every transaction in life, there is usually a buyer, a seller and someone who provides that service. It's been this way for generations. Since we are the ones that provide the service, that is the one party out of the three that we can control. The other two parties' expectations are really all that we now need to manage. That is where we apply our knowledge, craft and expertise. We strive to make sure that all parties involved have their expectations met. It truly can be a win-win-win situation. Though it's not always 100 percent, we do strive to get there.

Patch: What sets Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc. apart from area competition?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: What sets us apart is really the collaborative nature of our business model. Unlike traditional brokerages that are made up entirely of independent contractors that act as independent businesses within the business, the majority of our agents are employees of the company all focused on the good of the whole instead of the individual. The pressure of internal competition amongst agents is removed, and we all really just need to focus on the job at hand. If you look at a Fortune 500 company, departments don’t directly compete internally with each other, but support each other. Our agents and departments work that way.

Patch: Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc. currently specializes in Venice, Santa Monica and Westside area of Los Angeles. What is the draw to these communities?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: Everyone has to get started somewhere, and we got started where we lived. Both Tami and I live in Venice, so it was natural to sell homes here. We know almost every aspect of the area intimately, and when our clients come to the area, it's that added value that they really appreciate that we can provide. As our clients have moved and as we’ve brought on more employees/agents, each brings to the table what they know and the in’s and out’s of the different neighborhoods they live within. So, its been natural to continue to expand into the surrounding communities.

Patch: What is the outlook for the future of Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.?

Halton Pardee + Partners, Inc.: The outlook is great! Our work family has grown each year. We get to meet more and more great clients each year and, as a result, our sales have grown each year. When you do good work, all you want to do is more of it, and I think thats how everyone feels here.
