Iggy Pop Music Video Premiere Tonight at Other Venice Film Festival

Tickets for Sunday's lineup of events are available online only. Tonight's music series is sold out.

The world premiere of "La Vie En Rose" sung by Iggy Pop will be screened Saturday night as part of The Other Venice Film Festival, according to a press release.

The festival’s music video competition series begins at 9 p.m. Saturday at Beyond Baroque, and in addition to the Pop video, Venice band Peace Frog will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a tribute to Ray Mazarek and The Doors at 8 p.m. Lead singer Tony Fernandez is known for living out "every move of Jim Morrison on stage and delivers a powerful recreation of true likeness in presence, vocals, mannerisms and spirit." The music film and videos portion of the film festival is sold out.

The After Party begins at 10 p.m. at Beyond Baroque Venice, 681 Venice Blvd.

The Venice Love Shack, 2121 Lincoln Blvd., is an additional screening venue for the festival. Saturday, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., films and live music can be enjoyed while sitting on soft bean bag chairs. Seating is limited.

Tickets for films being shown on Sunday as part of the International Film Shorts Competition are available online. Look here for film information, screening times and tickets. The program is subject to change.

The Other Venice Film Festival culminates in the free Abbot Awards ceremony at Beyond Baroque at 9 p.m. Sunday, featuring music by "The Leapin Lizards" with Aileen Quinn, who is best known for playing the title role in the 1982 film "Annie."

The awards are named after Venice founding father Abbot Kinney. Tickets for the festival are not available at venue doors. Check online for availability.
