LAFD Knocks Down Fire Burning Venice Homes
The blaze in Venice spread from one home to another, according to authorities.
VENICE, CA — Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Venice Sunday evening that spread to a nearby second house.
The blaze at 823 E. Superba Ave. was reported at 6:10 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a one-story home on fire with flames spreading to a three-story residence next door, at 825 E. Superba, Prange said.

The department dispatched 42 firefighters to the scene and they knocked down the flames in both homes in 36 minutes, he said.
All occupants evacuated safely and there were no injuries, he said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
