Police Blotter: Burglary Suspects Arrested in Mar Vista
LAPD Pacific Division is reporting that three suspects were arrested on Wednesday after they were seen breaking into a home on Preston Way.

The LAPD Pacific Division arrested three suspects late Wednesday afternoon in Mar Vista after they were seen breaking into a home on the 1200 block of Preston Way.
According to a release by the LAPD, the suspects pried open the back door of the home at approximately 3:45 p.m. Two of the suspects then entered the house while the third suspect waited outside to act as the getaway driver.
The three suspects led officers on a vehicle chase that ended a few blocks away. All three were arrested for residential burglarly and taken to the LAPD's Pacific Division station.
All of the victim's stolen property was recovered and returned.

The arrest comes following a spate of in Mar Vista. by LAPD officers to address residents' concerns about this issue.
Following Wednesday's arrests, the LAPD issued the following statement:
LAPD would like to remind you that residential burglaries similar to this occur every day. You can help reduce your chances of being a victim of one of these crimes by being diligent about locking and securing your residences and vehicles. Also remember to never leave valuables or bags in your vehicles, especially in plain sight and to report suspicious activity to the police.
