Public Forums Will Showcase Candidates Vying To Rep Venice, Mar Vista

VENICE, CA —Several candidates competing to represent Venice and Mar Vista in the city and county will participate in public forums later this month hosted by the Westside Regional Alliance of Councils.

Six candidates are campaigning for the open seat to represent Los Angeles City Council District 11 and replace outgoing Councilmember Mike Bonin. The district includes Pacific Palisades, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Venice, Palms, Sawtelle and LAX.

The following candidates will speak Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.:

• Greg Good
• Jim Murez
• Mike Newhouse
• Traci Park
• Allison Holdorff Polhill

On Wednesday, April 27 from 7-9, three candidates campaigning to fill Sheila Kuehl's seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Third District, (which includes Pacific Palisades, the Santa Monica Mountains, the western San Fernando Valley, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, and more) will speak:

• Henry Stern
