VENICE, CA — A man was brutally attacked with bolt cutters, punched and kicked near the Venice Skate Park at Venice Beach last month, authorities announced Thursday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man was approached by two other men who were walking their bicycles at around 2 a.m. near Speedway and Market Street on Sept. 28. An argument then ensued, according to police, and escalated when one of the men swung a pair of bot cutters at the victim, which was caught on nearby security footage.

In the video, one suspect is seen punching and kicking the victim before throwing him to the ground while the other suspect walks nearby with his bicycle. The video cuts off just after the first suspect picks up a pair of bolt cutters.
