Watch: Man Beaten With Bolt Cutters In Venice
A man was brutally attacked with bolt cutters, punched and kicked near the Venice Skate Park at Venice Beach last month, LAPD said.

VENICE, CA — A man was brutally attacked with bolt cutters, punched and kicked near the Venice Skate Park at Venice Beach last month, authorities announced Thursday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man was approached by two other men who were walking their bicycles at around 2 a.m. near Speedway and Market Street on Sept. 28. An argument then ensued, according to police, and escalated when one of the men swung a pair of bot cutters at the victim, which was caught on nearby security footage.
In the video, one suspect is seen punching and kicking the victim before throwing him to the ground while the other suspect walks nearby with his bicycle. The video cuts off just after the first suspect picks up a pair of bolt cutters.

According to the LAPD, the suspect then began to walk away before the victim stood up again and reengaged in the confrontation.
"The suspect again armed himself with the bolt cutters and chased after the victim. The suspect swung the bolt cutters and struck the victim on the back of his head," LAPD said in a statement.

The victim was knocked unconscious and both suspects fled north on Speedway on their bicycles.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital to treat significant injuries to his head.
The LAPD is asking for the public's help in identifying the two suspects. The first suspect was described as a Black man with black hair and a beard. He wore a black sweater, black pants and black and gray tennis shoes.
The second suspect was described as a Black man who wore glasses, a gold long-sleeved dress shirt, black pants and black and gray tennis shoes.
