Woman Assaulted, Seriously Injured Near Venice Fishing Pier
A woman was assaulted and seriously injured early Tuesday near the Venice Fishing Pier, police told Patch.
VENICE, CA — A woman was assaulted and severely injured near the Venice Fishing Pier early Tuesday, police said.
An LAPD Pacific officer and Los Angeles firefighters early Tuesday responded to a medical service call for an unconscious adult woman suffering from an assault at Washington Boulevard and Ocean Front Walk about 6:50 a.m., LAPD spokesman Officer Mike Chan told Patch.
She was taken to a hospital. Her injuries were serious and required surgery, police said.

"She has not been interviewed yet due to her medical condition and at the time there were no witnesses," Chan said.
There is no immediate suspect description available, police said. An LAPD detective is investigating the attack.

Investigators at the scene told ShackedMag the assault happened sometime between 2 to 5 a.m. near the restrooms and the victim was found near there.

According the the officer, someone was assaulted sometime between 2 -5am , in front of the restrooms. Then the body was dragged to the back and dumped. Body was discovered, person is still alive and is currently hospitalized. More info will be updated as it becomes available.
