Detectives arrested Gerald Dial, 20, of Vallejo, at the San Francisco International Airport.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A second suspect has been arrested in a smash-in-grab robbery in June at Macy's in Walnut Creek's Broadway Plaza, the Walnut Creek Police Department said.
On June 18, three men dressed in hooded sweatshirts and masks entered Macy's and began smashing jewelry display cases with hammers, authorities said. No employees or shoppers were injured during the robbery. The suspects stole an unknown amount of high-end watches and were seen driving away in a white older model four-door Honda sedan.
An investigation by the Walnut Creek Police Department and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office led to an arrest warrant for Jammoni Simon, 19, of Vallejo, as one of three suspects identified in the case, officials said. He was taken into custody July 5. On July 8, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office filed charges against Simon for robbery, burglary and possession of a loaded firearm.
