• 2 Fee Increases Will Impact Bay Area Commuters Starting Thursday (patch.com) — Walnut Creek BART riders and bridge commuters will start paying more on Jan. 1, with BART fares rising about 6.2% and parking at high-demand stations like Walnut Creek going up 30%. Bay Area bridge tolls will also increase by 50 cents as part of a multi-year plan to fund maintenance, with further hikes scheduled through 2030.
