BART Halted Between Walnut Creek, Concord When Person Enters Tracks
The incident stopped service for nearly an hour as police responded.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — BART service was disrupted Wednesday morning when a person went on the tracks near the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre station.
It was not clear why someone entered the trackway at Pleasant Hill shortly after 8:20 a.m. Wednesday but it prompted a police response.
During the incident, eastbound trains were turned around at Walnut Creek and westbound trains were turned around at Concord.

Affected passengers were offered bus service by County Connection Bus 14 between Walnut Creek and Concord.
Around 50 minutes later, BART announced it was recovering from the issue on the Antioch line and had resumed normal service between the two stations.

BART service has stopped between Walnut Creek and Concord due to police activity. Bus service is being provided by County Connection on bus 14 between Walnut Creek and Concord.
