Bird On A Wire? Hawk On A Fence: Photo Of The Day

Patch loves photos! Share your photos with your local Patch, and your work could be featured.

WALNUT CREEK, CA—Patch reader Fran Guidry captured this image of a red-shouldered hawk that makes its home in Walnut Creek.

"This beautiful raptor owns our neighborhood, usually from the treetops, occasionally resting on the top of the utility poles, but yesterday he gave us a close-up view by perching on the fence that surrounds the Contra Costa Christian School playground," Fran wrote.
