Ike's has found a way. It was pure delight.
The lines were nowhere near as long as they are for his San Francisco store. Though it was busy on a recent Tuesday at noon, I got in and out within a half hour. The staff was delightful, friendly and upbeat, and though the menu is fairly daunting, with dozens of namesake sandwiches from which to choose, once a decision was made and ordered, it came quickly.

And it disappeared just as fast. I should have savored the experience, but it was just too good.
I'm told there is an Ike's app you can download for your phone, to order a sandwich ahead of time and just swoop by and pick it up. These are remarkable times we live in.
I will definitely be back, and I suggest you put this on your "lunch to-do" list. You won't be sorry.
