The Model Bakery Gives Update On Walnut Creek Store Opening
Napa Valley locals have known of the delicious baked goods for years. In 2020, Oprah added its English muffins to her favorite things list.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Model Bakery, a Napa Valley mainstay with locations in St. Helena, Napa and Yountville, is making progress on its Walnut Creek location.
Permitting has been approved and construction has started on the store at 1315 N. Main St. in Walnut Creek, Model Bakery shared on social media at the start of the new year. Its plans to open in Walnut Creek were announced last July. The opening date is expected to be sometime late this spring, it was reported this week.
The Model Bakery started serving up baked breads, pastries and coffee in 1908 in St. Helena. In 2008 it branched out to the Oxbow Public Market in Napa and then to its newest location, The Mini Model, in Yountville.

For years, Napa Valley residents have known of the delicious baked goods. A few years ago, one of its scrumptious bakery items caught the attention of a very influential person. The Model Bakery's English muffin made it onto The O List — Oprah's favorites — not once but twice.
"Bread and I are very close, so trust me when I say these English muffins from a Napa Valley bakery are perfection," Winfrey wrote. "In fact, I rarely travel without them—and that’s why they made my Favorite Things list two years in a row."
