Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Walnut Creek
Police seek to speak with anyone who may have information about the fatal crash.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Walnut Creek Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that took place Friday on Ygnacio Valley Road.
A struck by a car at 6:25 a.m. Friday on westbound Ygnacio Valley Road, just east of Oak Grove Road, and was later pronounced dead, police said.
The involved driver called 911, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to Lt. Holley Connors of Walnut Creek PD.

The department did not release further details.
The person's name was not disclosed pending confirmation of their identity and notification of their next of kin by the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office.
