Rattlesnake In Kitchen Prompts Police Response In Walnut Creek
The officer "channeled his inner Irwin," police said.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek police were recently called to a home to remove a rather unusual intruder — a rattlesnake in a resident's kitchen.
The police department posted a video Thursday on social media showing an officer using a long pole, possibly a golf club, to move the snake from a kitchen cabinet into a pot.
"Got ’em!" the caption said. "We were called out to a home for a rattlesnake hiding in a kitchen cabinet. Not our usual kind of call, but Ofc. (Lengkeek) channeled his inner Irwin, braved this mighty beast, and safely released it back into the wild. Sssmooth work, Officer Lengkeek!"
