A Day of Bay Area Power Outages Affect Hundreds
Thousands lose power across Bay Area after earlier outages knocked out electricity.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Pacific Gas & Electric is reporting outages to thousands of customers in Contra Costa, Sonoma, San Francisco and other counties across the Bay Area.
In Contra Costa County, 57 people were affected by an unplanned outage caused by third-party damage, according to PG&E outage maps. Crews arrived on site to make repairs and restored power.
Near Berkeley, several dozen were without power, which has been restored.

This follows an outage that knocked out power for 657 customers in San Francisco's Mission District today. That outage started about 11:18 a.m. Crews restored power by 1:45pm.
