School Worker Charged With Raping Teen
Police are asking other victims to come forward.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office charged a worker at a Walnut Creek charter school on Friday for allegedly raping, assaulting, and having sex with a child over 14 years old.
Walnut Creek police arrested 43-year-old Pleasant Hill resident Gerard Flaherty at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Flaherty is a climate and culture supervisor at Contra Costa School of Performing Arts, according to the school's website.

Flaherty is being held at Martinez Detention Facility with no bail, police said.
He has been charged with forcible rape of a child over 14 years old, assault with intent to commit a felony - victim under 18 years old, and unlawful sexual intercourse.
