Walnut Creek Bank Robbed: WCPD

Suspect Ronald Lane is accused of passing a note to a Chase Bank teller demanding money, according to authorities.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Livermore resident Ronald Lane was arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing Chase Bank on 1390 S. Main Street in Walnut Creek, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department.

On Thursday at 12:30 p.m., Walnut Creek police received a call that a man had passed a note to the teller at Chase Bank ordering them to hand over money. No weapon was used, and the suspect left after receiving the money, police said.

Officers searched the area and found Lane's car traveling on Olympic Boulevard. Officers stopped the car and recovered the money from inside the car. Lane was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility, and the case is being turned over to the district attorney's office to review.
